Song: 'I like to Make The Pretty Girls Smile;

   We Shot an Unsigned Band Called 'Acres Of Life' to get a feel of what it will be like and the pace needed on our actually shoot day.

before we decided what shots we wanted we researched some other bands that had a similar genre style as them. When we first heard the track that we were meant to be shooting: "I Like To Make The Pretty Girls Smile" by 'Acres Of Life', we immediatley made links between this genre of song and established bands and songs that would be catagorised in the same genre. We looked at some of the vidio's below as well as

Green Day's 'American Idiot' and 'Basket case'. From these vidio's we took some inspiration for shot types, camara angles and cutting pace/rythem (for this particular song the we chose to cut to the beat of the drum, then sometimes to the rythem of the guitar of bass because the song is quite fast though doesnt have a constant pace so we mirrored this in the editting) Once we had chosen what shots we wanted, we put together a rough story board.

   We liked the fast cuts and angled shot types in these vidios. THe 30 Second To Mars vidio provided us with a realyl clear idea on what we wanted our close ups to look like, particulary for the lead singer.

  Once we had some inspiration we drew rough story boards with soem ideas of the shot order we wanted.

We combined certain aspects from all of the vidios we reserched to come up with our shoot.
